2024 International Locate Rodeo Recap

Mar 19, 2025 | Uncategorized

The 2024 International Locate Rodeo was a huge success! We started the party off on day 1 with networking and an excellent meal, at the top of beautiful Hammons Tower in Springfield, Missouri. On competition day temperatures started out around 30 degrees, ended up around 40 degrees, with sunny skies all day long. The 75 registered Competitors, from 18 States (including Canada) descended on the Fulbright center to prove that they were the best in the business. While all Competitors hopefully had fun and learned some things that will help them every day, the Team from PG&E walked away with the most money, followed by teams from USIC and Bloodhound Locating. Other teams that found success in 2025 were; CPS Energy-Texas, T-Baker Smith-Louisiana, Elevated Locating-Colorado, T2UE-Ontario, City of Hays-Kansas, SCI Engineering-Missouri, & Colorado Springs Utilities-Colorado.

Congratulations goes out to our 2025 International Locate Rodeo Grand Championship Winner: Cameron Gibbs (PG&E). As a result of winning the LFH, Vivax/Metrotech presented Cameron with a brand-new transmitter/receiver. The LFH runner up was Michael Wise (USIC), and he was presented with a brand-new transmitter/receiver from Radio Detection.

This event would not be possible without our outstanding sponsors and we could never put into words how much they do for this event and the entire industry. From Vivax/Metrotech & Radio Detection giving both the LFH winner and Runner-up new locators, to City Utilities in Springfield employees working nights and weekends to prepare the site, to the owners of Grizzly Leads using vacation time from their full-time jobs to volunteer for the event, and so many others that make great sacrifices to make this event possible, THANKYOU, THANKYOU, THANKYOU!!!
